Manuka Resources (ASX: MKR) has recommenced gold production at its Wonawinta processing facility, marking the Company’s return to precious metals production.

Gold ore from Manuka’s 100%-owned Mt Boppy Gold Mine is now being processed at Wonawinta, with nearly 60,000 tonnes of Mt Boppy material stockpiled at the facility and building.

The restart follows an extensive five-month recommissioning program, including upgrades to power generation, laboratory facilities and key components of the processing plant.

With gold production now underway, Manuka’s focus is on ramping up production and generating cash flow, while completing the remaining plant upgrades required for silver production, targeted for Q4 2026.

Commenting on the milestone, Executive Chairman Dennis Karp said:

“This is an important milestone for Manuka, but it is just the start. Gold production is underway, we’re ramping up towards cash generation, and silver production is our next major milestone.”
